Nice try, DEA
Some of you already know, others don’t but on Tuesday morning I’ll be having surgery to remove a small tumor from my skull. It’s not cancerous but has been an absolute bitch to deal with for the last year.

Total hearing loss on the right side, balance and coordination struggles, memory issues and pretty much constant pain.

So, I’m always up for prayers, good thoughts, words of wisdom or a proper smart ass remark. I won’t be on here much during the first part of the recovery but I’ll try to check in from time to time and I should be ready to go 100% when the season kicks off.

This bowl ban means I’m going to be an obnoxious Mizzou fan all year win or lose. Prep yourselves now, kids.

So yeah. That’s all. Just thought I’d let you all know what’s up.

I'm always good for a smart ass remark, but in this case I'll refrain and just say we're all pulling for you my online friend! Best of luck!

Gadadolisgesdi brother.

Glad to hear it isn't cancerous, getchur ass healed up quickly because we need you at full capacity come end of the month!

Not to pry into your medical diagnosis, but by chance is this an acoustic neuroma. If so, I had that surgery 11 years ago and may be able to help you out a little.

Either way, best of luck.

I genuinely don’t remember the medical term for it. But to be fair I don’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday either so...

They seem pretty confident that it can be completely removed and I’ll be back to normal soon so I’m just rolling with it.

Copy that. Acoustic Neuromas screw up hearing that will lead to hearing loss but I don't think they have a reputation for memory loss. Like I said, best of luck.

The memory loss I think is probably made worse by a history of concussions.

So anything that messes with my inner ears or nerves in my head and everything goes crazy.

It’s why I have to wear glasses. Nasty concussion and I went from 20/20 vision to not being able to see anything further than 3 feet away.

I’ve gotten used to it for the most part. I’ve finally got a treatment plan that has helped reduce the frequency of the migraines.

Totally changed my diet which has also helped a ton. No alcohol, smoke, drugs, caffeine, drastic reduction is processed foods, cut back on sweets quite a bit. Once this ear issue is taken care of I should be the healthiest I’ve ever been.
