Some of both. There are cattle that no matter how good you feed them will never grade prime, or choice for that matter. It has alot to do with intramuscular fat, which leads to better tenderness and taste. Some cattle have the genetics to accomplish it and some don't.

I think thats why @OldDevilDawg always sniffs the butt before he licks it :)... but no shit, it makes such a difference.. when I pick a steak at the grocery store,, I look for the most marbeling of small fat lines that will melt during a high temp fast cook.
 
Howdy, howdy folks. I'm about to haul my dad to the wound care center.

He actually got to see a doctor the other day instead of just nurses, which have been great.

He thoroughly checked him out, said everything looked great, then bitched at the nurses.

This is the second go round with the same ladies and they have been wonderful.

I wanted to shake his hand with one hand and backhand him with the other.

wouldnt it just be cool as hell to both be sitting next to a campfire drinking coffee from a metal cup with the pot on a rock by the fire... and @Nod4Eight and @Copejunkie and @PSUTE riding up on their horses with a nice buck draped over Nods saddle :)
 
So yesterday, I'm driving down the road and see a house that someone I know is cleaning up / remodeling to flip and there is a tree that has been cut down and several large logs were on the ground..
Ive been needing a chopping block for my firewood.. so I pulled up close and got out to get one of the logs into the back of my truck..
I put the tailgate down and picked the log up and as I was swinging it up to the tailgate, I missed by about a half inch and had to pretty much catch the log before I dropped it,, in doing so, I pulled something in my right forearm..
Now I can barely lift a coffee cup with my right arm.. In my younger days I could have thrown that log over my shoulder and walked a mile with it..
WTF is happening... growing old hurts man..

Hell, if I was to wake up without something hurting I'd think I was dead.
