You know, one of the things I noticed right away from being in Colorado is that it usually doesn't FEEL as cold as it does back home. 40 degrees in Bama can chill you to the bone, yet here in CO it's shirt sleeve weather. The humidity here is so low most of the time it doesn't feel near as cold.

I've noticed that too when I have traveled to cold climates... or Hot climates... they are both much dryer.. and you're damn right,, I would rather it be 20 degrees than 40... 40 will hurt you.

Our summers are very dry, but we do get some humidity in the winter. Not always, but often enough. I'd much rather it be 0 degrees with 15% humidity than 35 degrees and 90% humidity.

I woke up late this morning 7:11 to be exact. Had Christmas with my parents and sisters family last night. My brother and his family won't be back till after we are on our trip so I won't get to see them. I haven't seen him in a year already and with his schedule it might be another year before I do. ☹

When I was a youngin, we flew from Florida to Missouri to hunt.

We left Florida at 38°and hit Kansas City at 18° and snowing.

I had to take off clothing.

Thin dry air. That's why I like Montana. heck 30 degrees in Montana is downright pleasant.

Yep, get both here. Cold and humid is what I call bone cold. Huge difference...

Morning Gang! Sitting here this morning with the lights turned low, nothing but the sound of my keyboard, with my dog in my lap enjoying my second cup. Life is good!

No, I disagree. I'm just a guy who enjoys the back and forth interaction with good people, but thank you for the kind words. I don't know if you'll understand this, but this place is like therapy for me sometimes. Life happens to all of us, and chatting with you folks really helps put things in perspective sometimes.
