No thanks. But you do you

You're either "all in" or you ain't in it at all. Fuckin A.

Story of my life.

I had a bit of a temper and a lot of stupid. I can only hide my jackass side for so long, especially when jammed up. I really screwed the pooch with that CDO. The bad part was flying from Atlanta to Groton knowing full well what would happen when I reported for duty.

Closest I ever came to getting serious charges was when we were in transition at 29 Palms getting ready to go to Gulf Storm. The last night there, I hit the E-club and hooked up. We were supposed to be in formation with all our gear at 4am the next morning and I woke up in her barracks room at 5am. The reservist Captain that was in charge of my contingent had no idea how to be pissed. I damn near laughed in his face when he told me he was gonna kick me out of "his" Marine Corps.

I was denied emergency leave while at the hospital with my 3 month old son. I had my mind made up that I was finding out what was wrong with my son before I flew out. What got me in the deep darks was not the 24 hour UA but the fact that on the phone I offered the CDO some one on one intensive counselling when I got there. It would have been a reduction in rank or just restriction with a suspended sentence had I not done that. I was very fortunate to only get awarded what I did.

I shit you not....One time I asked a Major this question. He was being a stupid dick.

I asked him, "Help me with what I'm supposed to say here, remind me of the rules involved....would it not be a good idea to tell an officer to "go to hell"?

As non nukes, we were the bastards of engineering. One run I aske our Eng if we were having an ORSE(reactor test) this run. When he asked why, I told him I was just curious if we were going to be considered weapons department again. That conservation did not go as I had planned. No, sir … not at all like I planned.
