Hot today and these last few days here in KC. May get a little bit of Cristobal tomorrow. Joined a Monday night golf league with best buddy’s team last week just to have an excuse to smoke a cigar, have a couple and cuss like a proverbial sailor. Second week is tonight.

Good morning everyone, what's left of cristobal is going to be hitting us here this morning. We are supposed to get 3 or 4 inches of rain here over the next day. We don't need that.

Update on the rain, the heavy stuff has been just west of me so far, might get lucky here and only end up with an inch or so.

It drowned a bunch of our squash and zucchini, likely going to get most of the tomatoes. Luckily there are more tomatoes in planters under the awning. Hopefully the peppers make it.

The wind knocked down a bucket load of blueberries.Time for jam and cobbler.

Morning all. Have already had three Zoom calls this morning. Should be ready for a short nap around 2:00.

I am a little on edge today waiting to hear from my son. He went up the chain of command over an issue ... and his battalion CMS and CO drove down for a meeting. By his account, everything went really well over the phone until he muttered the words "failure of my company level leadership" while naming a 1st SGT and company CO. I have been there and done that and have the anal scars to prove it.
