The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Morning. Lots to get done before I take off for Ann Arbor & Detroit. I'm excited to go to my 1st night game (2nd Michigan game ever) and first NFL game to see my 49ers this weekend. Kids are going to stay with my parents so we can finally go somewhere without them. It's been 6 years since we could do that.
Neat man, hope you have a good time

Morning all. The last 2 days I've had a low grade temp., haven't had much gumption to do anything, even though I still had to, and by 5 I'm ready to crash, so I won't be going to the ft. Madison rodeo tonight. Rest of the family is avoiding me like the plague and will go. Sucks. At least I will be able to watch the whole Iowa/iowa st game.

This isn't good, I hope things turn around for you soon. You are doing the right thing in getting rest.

Get better my friend! Rest, hydration, and football! It’s good for the soul!

Good morning folks.

20 years to the day of 9/11 and my deceased grandfather's birthday.

I left school when the shit hit the fan to see him, driving at 15, as he fought in WW11, Korea, Vietnam, and became the first E9 at our local air force base and the third ever in the country.

Nearly destroyed by Parkinson's he popped out of his chair and nearly hugged me to death. We lost him a few weeks later.

Until he couldn't, he always smoked a big pork shoulder for our family reunion. I'm about to fire up the smoker in his honor.

Y'all have a great day.

When men were men. Not as much now. Blessings!

The man was still running every morning into his 70's, took me with him if we were staying at the lake house, and took me, my brother, and cousins to a ton of FSU games.
Sorry for your loss, but Im glad you had a great mentor, not sure this helps, but a lot of folks dont have those kind of great memories. Go FSU today!
