Beat Michigan, make the playoffs. He will be fine
If he does those two things, he will be in good shape.

Saying it and doing it are two different things. As a UK fan you should know that better than anyone.![]()
Vanderbilt is the Most Compelling Team at SEC Media Days, and there's a Lesson for Kentucky
Diego Pavia creates headlines, but peel back a layer or two, and you will find many similarities between Vanderbilt and Kentuckywww.on3.com
“Maybe we just needed a quarterback,” Pavia said bluntly."
Pavia wore a tuxedo to SEC Media Days a few weeks after he said the Commodores were going to “run Tennessee” this year. “
@della
As I have grown older I have realized that all we really get is coach speak and they all say the same thing, so you just have to wait and see.
You'll go 7-5 and play Vandy in a bowl game. Pavia will be a first round draft pick because of that bowl game.Ceiling: 10-2
Floor: 5-7
Reality: 8-4 with matchup against a Mississippi school in a bowl game.
We'll go 8-4 and play Mississippi in a bowl game because that's what I said is gonna happen and you're all gonna f***ing like it.You'll go 7-5 and play Vandy in a bowl game. Pavia will be a first round draft pick because of that bowl game.
TLDR 8-4.
IMHO Auburn should be a better team than last year and it should translate to wins this season. No disrespect intended but Ball State, South Alabama, @Arkansas, Kentucky, @Vandy, and Mercer must all be wins. They should be "just handle your business" days but that's not the case as of late. Unless we are going to change coaches, that is our absolute floor for the season.
We open @ Baylor on Friday 29AUG and IMHO is really a margin of error defining point of the season. A win here and we go into Norman on 20SEP as 3-0 instead of under the gun with @TAMU, bye and UGA on the plate. @OU we have a puncher's chance. @TAMU and UGA should be losses, but be forewarned that I'm already chanting, lighting candles and killing chickens for the DSOR in Jordon-Hare ... then there is the Iron Bowl in Jordon-Hare. I'm not advocating for the practice of voodoo, I'm just saying that sometimes it happens.
IMHO we win @Baylor and ride some momentum, picking up a win or two (no thanks to the chicken) between @OU, @TAMU, UGA and Alabama. I hope for 9-3, satisfied at 8-4, disappointed but understanding at 7-5. Anything less than that and my opinion won't matter although I will support the new coach. 8-4
Oh I am nervous.I would be nervous about Arnold if I was you. Granted our entire offense + staff were in turmoil last year, he still made some the most bone headed plays I have ever seen as a qb.
If you doubt me, go back and watch the Tennessee vs OU game.
He's still the best HC you've had since "Bear". Who do you replace him with and what are you willing to pay? How is that replacement gonna do in the hardest conference in the nation? How's the NIL group gonna compete.......are they even willing to try? I love you brother, but it's still Kentucky. I ain't even bluffing.UK's expectations:

We are paying Stoops 9 mil a year. 40 mil buyout... I think he is the only top 10 highest paid CFB coaches that are not expecting a playoff birth.
