PSU finally got their shit together
They have a strong chance of settling for a Mike Shula and/or Dereck Dooly as their next coach IF this hire whiffs.PSU has a hard cap, I get moving on from a coach with a thousand yard stare, but they’re more likely to be Nebraska, Florida and FSU then they are, Georgia or Clemson.
Pretty much, if they don’t get Cignetti or one of the Matt’s, who again, are a step down from Franklin, they’re looking at someone who is going to inherit a bit of a mess. It’s a double edged sword. Players have agency now, and the guy that recruited them just got fired so how many of them are going to stick around for a new guy when they can get money somewhere else? They have a strong chance of settling for a Mike Shula and/or Dereck Dooly as their next coach IF this hire whiffs.
That may be, but it’s not worth paying Franklin $49 mil to go away. I doubt the next coach does better.Matt Rhule gonna get the job.
Played there and I think he got his start as an assistant there.
Franklin grew his HC teeth at Vandy. He led them to back to back 9 win seasons. Those are the only two 9 win seasons in Vandy history. Take that for what it's worth. It might not be a Franklin problem. That may be, but it’s not worth paying Franklin $49 mil to go away. I doubt the next coach does better.
He could never win the big games.Franklin grew his HC teeth at Vandy. He led them to back to back 9 win seasons. Those are the only two 9 win seasons in Vandy history. Take that for what it's worth. It might not be a Franklin problem.
And paid 48 mil to do it.Imagine firing a coach they can't get a better replacement than. I wonder if Florida fires their coach after the next loss so they can scoop Franklin up.
He'll be HC somewhere next year. Lots of teams out there that would be tickled shitless to win 9 games every year. VT is most definitely one of them.Does Franklin go to VaTech?
If ucla hadn’t turned it around I would have imagined he would be in talks with them. He'll be HC somewhere next year. Lots of teams out there that would be tickled shitless to win 9 games every year. VT is most definitely one of them.
