Just paid $4.20/gallon for gas.

GasBuddy is a fuel cost app that some use religiously. Thought maybe you’d heard of it and could prove to us Californians that prices were much cheaper in the general Boise area, hence another reason to buy that place next to Nod.
Never heard of it, but when I was in Boise last April, I actually bought a new used truck. Yeah, it was comforting driving something without CA plates while I was there, Nod had me paranoid. Diesel prices in Boise weren’t much better than at home at the time, but filling up in Winnemucca was pretty cheap.

I had a nice time in Boise (and the surrounding areas). I would consider buying an income property there, but I’m not moving there any time soon. April was probably as good as it gets there in the way of weather. The people were nice. Boise kinda reminds me of Sacramento and it’s suburbs. It’s pretty much California already. Did you see all the wineries just outside of town? Yeah...California. Sorry Nod, you can keep fighting, but the war is over.

You wanna see some terrible gas prices? This is in Gorda CA. Took this pic about a year ago, but this is typical for Gorda. This place often wins for the highest gas prices in the country. Gorda is on Highway one south of Big Sur, north of Cambria. 26 miles to the nearest gas station, 26 miles to the closest place to get a shitty cell signal.8FA1C747-0512-4BA6-A470-F49E791792FB.jpeg

I need to check that out. The Michigan winters are starting to get to me and I'm not sure I could take Florida year round.

I'd miss Lake Michigan, but I'd still have tons of people to come back and visit, might have to give mountain living a try.

So a lot of people from up North have been moving here after making the mistake of moving to Florida first.

Their chief complaint is, they miss having actual seasons and like how spread out everything is down here.

Coolest part of WNC is our proximity to both college and pro stadiums!

I paid $4.99 this morning for diesel in Seal Beach.

This afternoon I drove the 80 miles from Seal Beach to home, which took 2 hours and 40 minutes using fast trak! Add another hour to that drive if I didn’t.

There were no accidents to slow traffic down. Just to many people (me being 1 of them).
Oof.. I used to live in a shithole on Orange ave near the corner of 9th ave, above what I think is now Coronado Bliss Salon - Near the Shell station. The commute to 32nd Street down the Silver Strand was amazingly pretty. At least back in 1980 since their wasn't shit out there...

Concord isn't bad if you like the city but Asheville area in WNC is absolutely gorgeous. You're in the mountains, the weather is beautiful and all the amenities.

Went to high school there. The area is gorgeous and there so much more money there than in the 80s and a lot more restaurants, coffee houses and microbreweries.

But

The place is just infested with Leftist Yankees now.

$2.54 and I’m pissed because it went up 10 cents .......seconds after the Saudi drone strikes. Hasn’t changed since.

I paid around $2.50 per gallon.

Leftist Yankees or Commiefornians need to STOP COMING HERE though. In fact, stop coming to the entire South.

We love guns and hate fags (not really but whatever keeps the locusts away). Y’all will all be miserable among us Deplorables. Pass it on.

Halfbacks. South Carolina has ‘em too.

Coronado has still maintained its beauty. That wouldn’t be a bad commute at all.

I’m not sure if you’re saying that I’m gassy (I am), or if you’re just curious about what I’m paying for fuel.

I’ve been paying $4.09 for diesel and it has been pretty steady. I couldn’t even tell you the 87 octane gas price right now. I’m never the guy that bitches about fuel prices, I only work close to home (shop), so it’s not a huge expense for me. I laugh at those people who drive across town to save a nickel per gallon on fuel. Your Camry holds 10 gallons, you just drove 20 minutes out of your way to save $0.50.

I never understood why gas prices are so important to some people. I have four 1ton or bigger trucks moving every day, and a dollar per gallon barely affects my bottom line, yet other people piss and moan about 20cents/gallon in their 30+mpg cars with their 15 mile commute. Lumber prices, labor costs, insurance premiums...that’s the shit that pisses me off...fuel is nothing. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of people who have every right to bitch about fuel prices, but usually the loudest ones are the people who it barely affects. It’s just some strange measuring stick that gets people all riled up over what boils down to a few bucks a month for most of us.
I have a long commute(in miles not just time)each day, as does my wife. It matters to me.
