I’m not sure if you’re saying that I’m gassy (I am), or if you’re just curious about what I’m paying for fuel.
I’ve been paying $4.09 for diesel and it has been pretty steady. I couldn’t even tell you the 87 octane gas price right now. I’m never the guy that bitches about fuel prices, I only work close to home (shop), so it’s not a huge expense for me. I laugh at those people who drive across town to save a nickel per gallon on fuel. Your Camry holds 10 gallons, you just drove 20 minutes out of your way to save $0.50.
I never understood why gas prices are so important to some people. I have four 1ton or bigger trucks moving every day, and a dollar per gallon barely affects my bottom line, yet other people piss and moan about 20cents/gallon in their 30+mpg cars with their 15 mile commute. Lumber prices, labor costs, insurance premiums...that’s the shit that pisses me off...fuel is nothing. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of people who have every right to bitch about fuel prices, but usually the loudest ones are the people who it barely affects. It’s just some strange measuring stick that gets people all riled up over what boils down to a few bucks a month for most of us.
