Random thoughts

If we eat the wealthy, we will ultimately fall into a tribalistic unrest, with perpetual war, followed by allowing ourselves to be manipulated, and ruled by evil men again. Or not, we could cease to exist. Just calm the fuck down

So you're saying you don't like Kirby? Or are you saying you wish Spurrier was still at SCar? I mean, you and I both know that the only time SCar had any success versus UGA was with Spurrier, no matter who the HC was in Athens.

lol

I neither like nor hate Kirby... at this point he is just a coach of another team to me. The irony is if there was a specific coach that I intensely disliked seeing go against my Gamecocks it was .... Spurrier. He would roll in with his Gators and I would just wish the game was already over and we were looking to the next game. No coach has ever filled me with dread in the week before a game like Spurrier... and that includes playing against Saban's Bama teams.

So when SOS came to coach the Gamecocks it was indeed with mixed feelings that I had to come to terms with the past and embrace the Spurrier era. Hell this is one of my favorite games:

With all that said ... he lost control during the last couple seasons when everyone questioned his commitment and being there for much longer so, it is what it is/was.

So of course I miss Spurrier... the bright spot after that was seeing Muschamp beat Georgia 20 - 17 when you were ranked 3rd in the nation.... that must have sent you into a bender. Hell it would have me lol.

For anyone not up on their Spurrier history:

Spurrier is the winningest coach ever at South Carolina and Florida. During his tenure at Florida he led the Gators to six SEC titles and a national championship before leaving his alma mater to see what he could do in the NFL.

After two losing seasons with the Washington Redskins he returned to the SEC with South Carolina in 2005 and turned the perennially mediocre Gamecocks into championship contenders.

Spurrier, who was 35-21 with the USFL's Tampa Bay Bandits from 1983-85, started his college head coaching career at Duke. He has a 228-89-2 career record with the Blue Devils, Gators and Gamecocks.

Lame Sunday with my buddies, we don’t know whether to watch the Hungarin Grand Prix or the ax tossing championships.
Watch "Them Dawgs" on the SEC network. I'm not kidding when I say no matter the team, it's an inspiring look at how coaching practice the right way, makes for the right way on the field.

Kirby learned from the best.
He learned a lot from the GOAT. Absolutely no denying that.

IMO, the biggest difference with Kirby is that he grew up a Red and Black bleeding Dawg, listening to Larry Munson on the radio, and dreaming of playing for UGA. He poured 4 years of his blood, sweat, and tears onto the Hedges in Sanford Stadium. He's not just the head coach of his lifelong favorite team, he's UGA's biggest fan.

People need to stop cheering for their political parties like they do their sports teams. If you aren't actively trying to hold your own party accountable for their actions, you are the perfect sheep. Idgaf which side of the fence you stand on, if you only attack the other side, they have you right where they want you.

I agree with this, entirely.

How problematic is it for you to eat a burger upside down, i.e. top bun underneath, bottom bun on top, cheese under the meat, etc.?
We grew up poor ... at least broke. A piece of white bread doubled for hot dog buns, hamburger buns, biscuits, pizza dough(with spaghetti sauce as pizza sauce) , etc ... I have no problem eating a cheeseburger upside down or even sideways.

Oh man. Split two hot dogs, fry em up, put three halves on white bread, finger-food the fourth one, mustard and ketchup … that was a “just got home from school” afternoon feast!
