Dude, we got gators everywhere down here. In the rivers, the creeks, the ponds on the farms that are everywhere. To us, gators are just a normal part of life. BTW, they taste delicious.
Yeah people (friends across the country) are weirded out and confused when I’m like, “yeah we have three gators in the neighborhood retention pond. I let my daughter play by it,” and when I’m like, “I’d never kayak in the 5 river delta, because I’d die”.

Difference is 11’ and 800 lbs.

Kayaker dead after alligator attack at Lake Kissimmee State Park in Polk County, Florida, Sheriff says

According to WOFL, "two people were kayaking on the lake when a woman came across an alligator and went into the water. She was later found deceased."
Saying the woman “went into the water” is a bit vague, but it sounds like she was dumb enough to do it on purpose.
