That would be a hearty hell no. I changed a heater core in a 2001 Chevy Silverado once and swore that if it ever had to be done again I was pulling into the next dealership I saw regardless of brand and leaving in a new truck price be damned! Good luck!

I'm the kind that can know early that you are screwing up and tell you about it right after the point of no return. It is exactly how I parented with the difference is now I smoke pot while doing it.

Run many without thermostats, with maypops, had flex pipe from the manifold to the tailpipe ... spot welded to the rear floorboard, left for a job on the road and the person in back passenger's side had to buy ice to keep from burning his feet ... Used welding rods and vice grips as a shifter hell I was in the navy when I found out that speedometer and fuel gage were not considered options. We could bypass everything but the tires. I registered a 69 GMC ... white cab, blue doors ... with a green 70 Chevy bed. When the clerk asked what color it was I told her to look out her window and go with her gut. If the younger generation wonders why cars have to be insured and inspected, sorry about that.

That's all fine and dandy, but my daughter isn't rolling around out here with no ac. She was getting steam coming through the ac vents.

She came home the other day and I could smell coolant when she hugged me. She said " yeah there was a weird smoke coming out of the vents when I shut off the ac" I knew I was fucked.


Good day to not be busy business wise, and save a thousand bucks, if not 1500.
