The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Good morning everyone. Drove up to NE Tennessee yesterday for my BIL’s funeral. Didn’t get home until midnight last night. It’s going to be a long day. I don’t know if any of you folks have had to attend a funeral during this pandemic, and I’m hoping you haven’t, but it was strange. Because of restrictions it was limited to family only. Due to not having his Covid test results, the decision was made to cremate his remains. So there was no body to view to say goodbye. Masks and social distancing protocols were in place at all times. It’s surreal actually. No closure, just empty words, a picture, flowers and music. A slideshow of pictures from his life and music on a loop.
There was a humorous moment when I told my wife and daughter that if they played “ Go rest high on that mountain “ by Vince Gill at my funeral I would haunt the hell out of them. My daughter bless her heart said “ well what WOULD you like played daddy”? My response? “Pop goes the weasel “ while everyone stares at the casket in horrified anticipation!” The laughter in the car was epic! It definitely lightened the mood.

I know that this was not a good circumstance to do so but the next time you are in the area let me know and I will buy y'all a cup of coffee.

I was tearing and cutting out trees again and I ripped the track off my skid loader. When I Turned the back of the track caught a stump and it shoved the track off the rollers. I hate thorn tree's. Whoever decided to import thorny locust, hedge, and multi flora rose should have been drawn and quartered, then burned at the stake. The only good about any of them is that hedge makes damn good fence posts, a big one can last up to 80 years, that's 50 years longer than any store bought treated wood post. And the dnr should get the same for bringing in honey suckle, its growing everywhere and taking over the timbers. They brought it in for erosion control but the birds are spreading it and its choking the timbers out.

Yep, went through a very similar experience with my wife's Dad. Sorry your wife and family had to go through this. Also, I didn't know you were such a big 3rd Bass fan, me too!
