The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Busy morning. The 3 step kids have remote learning today to give it a practice run in case of shutdown (or hopefully snow days). Only issue is it's on "transfer day" so their sperm donor loses some time and will complain. Also had to keep the younger 2 home as I couldn't take them to daycare bc no one would have been with the other 3 in that time as the wife was already at work. Also working at home at this time as well. Hoping the SIL's wedding planning is done. Getting married on such short notice has been hell as they've relied on my wife to help (A LOT). Had to make supper since she wasn't back from helping her sister pick up a dress. Plus they moved the date up 2 weeks yesterday as well. Then I was going to have a discussion with my cousin and his fiance yesterday about the house they live in that I own. Try to get them to pay rent or make plans to buy it, but his fiance's sister passed away yesterday unexpectedly. Good thing I checked Facebook during the day before or I would have looked like a complete ass.

Good morning crew.

Yesterday my 92 year old dad passed away. A tough Nebraska born / Iowa raised farm boy. It was a blessing. I will say he was tough on us kids, but all of us became contributing, hard working adults. Which I truly believe was a result of this upbringing.

Anyways, not looking for condolences, just raising my cup of coffee to the man. Heaven just got a hard working farm boy, Marine, oil refinery worker, fireman. They best lookout, he doesn’t tolerate laziness. 😆
