I just got my first bottles of Blanton's and eagle rare this past Saturday.. read back a few pages to understand Alabama's allocated spirits releases.. the Blanton's is really good but I like the eagle rare better, it has a butterscotch hit at the front and a mild spice at the finish..
 
Lemon drop martinis with the missus. Yeah it has a reputation as a girly drink, but I beef em up to be manly. Recipe for two panty-dropping drinks:

8 oz of Chopin vodka … yes, potato vodka is key
4 oz. Triple Sec (or Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
1 tbsp fine sugar
Juice of 2 whole lemons

Shake the hell out of the above ingredients in an ice filled shaker. Strain into two good-sized sugar rimmed martini glasses.
