The only reason I can think of for not waiting is they're trying to get a jump on their next hire before USC , (or someone else) goes after who they are interested in.

I never understood why they hired him to start with. I didn't think he was a fit for FSU. I'll say this, FSU has way too much talent to be as bad as they are right now. Undisciplined, underperforming, and unprepared, and that's on the HC.

Well I hate to post rumors but sometimes they are accurate. I have no inside connections and no way of proving the rumors right or wrong.

With that said, the names that our brought up the most are: Urban, Franklin, Fickell, and Stoops.

I'd be surprised if FSU is looking very hard at Urban Meyer. He would just be a short term solution. I suspect they are looking for a long term solution

Urban and Franklin both have baggage that I think would keep USC from considering them. I wouldn’t be surprised if Fickell is brought over from Cincinnati.
