The new and improved Good Morning thread!

I wish you good luck and happy burning
Thanks. I did cancel the CT scan. Bless the lady's heart, she wanted to play 20 questions and got cut off at one. I told her that I wasn't in the mood but was more than willing to answer all of her questions but I wasn't going to be responsible for her not liking my answers. I am going to be less than a half mile from the campus and need to stay the fuck away from it for a few weeks, months, or years TBD.

Good morning everyone. I am over my VA hissy fit stage, kind of. It takes about 5 years to have a case heard at the Board of Veteran Appeals but it looks like that is going to be the route I am going to take. I am going to talk to my attorney and find out some specifics but IF I am correct, once I appeal to the BVA that part of my claim is locked and cannot be reevaluated until the BVA rules, in about five years. I have won a case at the BVA once already.

It just so happens that I made certified copies of my entire medical record as I was being discharged and still have them. It also happens that I am able to file separate claims and somewhat keep them from being combined. If the bastards want to play paperwork games, let's play and now I want my turn at the plate. I am going to drown them in separate claims and make them chase the paperwork. And keep them in appeal for perpetuity. Let's see how they like being jerked around with a veteran willing to act just like the VA. Every meeting, every deadline, every action will be met by me with delay. Every time they get close to a decision, I will submit new evidence and make them start over. OH, I know that the new claims will not be fruitful as far as ratings go, but the VA mental health team said I needed a hobby ...

*Gets updated in the thread and now worried about batchy's mental health*
I made it through the anger stage and am now just resolved to give them a dose of what they give us. For better or worse, my mental health has not changed. Granted, several mental health professionals that treated me have left the profession because of that ...

Starting in 2010 I went thru a 3 year paperwork chase with the va over asbestos. I'm 40% They call it asbestos scarring. Not really asbestosis. But I do have a yearly ct scan to keep an eye on things.
I'm going to say something that prolly sounds bad but it seems the way things are going.
The va is a government agency and right now it seems the government is more interested in dolling out money to illegals than taking care of American citizens.

I just can't believe that. Do you know a nongovernmental job where you can fail to work properly 70% of the time, keep your job and still be promoted???

VA's Widespread Mishandling of Disability Claims Could Have Caused Delays and Denials for Veterans

The vast majority of claims processors at the Department of Veterans Affairs failed to follow procedures on disability claims that involved requesting medical opinions or disability exams, which could have led to delays and denials for veterans, an inspector general investigation found.
The VA's top watchdog said Wednesday that 68% of processors didn't properly handle the section of the claims process that requests the opinions and exams, according to a statistical sampling of claims handled in fiscal 2021. The VA processors also did not include important relevant information in 38% of requests and didn't include all the necessary details that examiners use to make recommendations in 19% of the requests.

BTW, I was med boarded out over a totally ruptured ACL and MCL, and torn LCL with a grade four cartilage tear. For those lucky enough not to know, they use the Outerbridge scale with 4 being the worst: Grade 4 (IV) - Articular cartilage is worn to the extent that there is exposed subchondral bone. After 19.5 years of being bone on bone, 2 ACL revisions, 10 other scopes and procedures, and dozens of hydrocortisone and dozens of Hyalogen shots, the VA tried to take my 30% service connection. I had to file and go the Washington DC for a Board of Veteran's appeal to win that claim.

Good Morning, took the boat out yesterday afternoon and it performed perfectly, caught a few crappie trolling the creeks, now I have the fever !
We had a crappie honey hole down below Aliceville on the Tenn-Tom waterway. You couldn't hardly limit out because they quit biting when the water dropped for the locks, but three of us would always get at least 40ish a day and the average was probably 1 1/2-2 lbs with many monsters. To get to it, you had to wait until they were backing the water up and get out on the sandbar and drag your boat over. The enclosed area was large enough that it wasn't entrapment but I guess it was just too much for most to get to.
