This breaks my heart. I was within a few miles of his house on Sunday and had no idea. Unfortunately, I was in no position to go by and see him, although I almost called him when we went by the Aiken exit on I-520 headed to Johnson City, TN. He's a good man. I believe he has the strength to get through this. Prayers for him and his 3 kids.

None. I've been in communication with his daughter since Monday, but have not heard any further news. I'll see if I can get an update today.

Nearly killed me about 2-3 years ago, and he's a helluva lot tougher than I am! I have faith.

I talked to his daughter last night. The latest update....

"They just put a trach in his throat and a stomach tube. We were hoping it wouldn’t come to that but his lungs aren’t fully strong enough yet. They’re going to try to wake him up in the next few days. When I agreed to sedate him my only options were sedation or letting the blood clot in his lungs and lack of oxygen take him. I went for the sedation since there was a possibility he’d make it. "

Yeah, it's time for me to make a road trip.
