There’s a book with similar themes recommended to me, but I haven’t read it. I believe it’s called Third Places (not home, not work).Just got done with 'Bowling Alone'
It is an amazing book discussing the loss of community and organizations in America. It of course caught my eye as it speaks heavily on fraternal organizations like Freemasonry. But also it really brings up how far we are as communities today vs what they looked like in the 60s and 70s.
Highly recommend.

There aren’t many third places left, especially for men. I had an uncle who was in the Knights of Columbus, the Freemason, the Moose lodge. Probably more too.
