After the game, ESPN shared that the game is among the lowest-scoring ever between ranked teams in the shot-clock era. The 89 combined points mark the new lowest-scoring ranked contest between SEC teams of the AP Poll Era.

New Mexico State suspends men's basketball program indefinitely over multiple reported hazing incidents

The New Mexico State men's basketball team has had its operations suspended indefinitely, the program announced Friday night.

A statement released by NM SU explicitly states that the decision was based on allegations entirely separate from "the events that took place in Albuquerque," in which forward Mike Peake was reportedly involved in a fatal shooting.
